The Roland 1000003691 linear encoder strip (Sheet, Linear Scale XJ-640) is the optical ruler mounted along the carriage rail on the entire Roland 64-inch range: XJ-640, XR-640, XF-640, XT-640, EJ-640, LEC-540, VersaEXPRESS and TrueVIS VG / VG2 / SG2 / VF2. The encoder sensor continuously reads it to determine the exact position of the print heads.

Its graduations at 180 lines per inch (180 LPI) provide the controller with the position reference for each pass. This precision ensures accurate drop placement and bidirectional printing without misalignment.

Supplied on its own, in the original dimensions of 2360 × 15 mm, including mounting holes. Three options are available on this product page: New (original Roland part), Refurbished (inspected original part) or New / Compatible (strip manufactured by DG Spare Parts).

Function
