The Shield Damper 1000006315 is the protective shield for the damper on Roland VersaUV UV printers in the LEC, LEJ and LEF series. Positioned around the print head, it protects the dampers from exposure to UV radiation emitted by the curing lamps, thereby preventing premature curing of the ink inside the supply circuit.

Without this shield, UV light can reach the dampers and cause the UV ink in the circuit to harden, leading to blockages, print defects and rapid deterioration of the print head. It is an essential protective component in any UV printing system with an integrated lamp.
