Product description

4 A fuse – Roland LEJ-640 / LEC-540 / XF-640 – 1000004672

The Roland 1000004672 (0154004DR) fuse is a surface-mount fuse fitted to the junction board (TU JUNCTION BOARD) of compatible Roland printers/cutters and the associated winding unit.

This fast-acting fuse, rated at 4 A / 125 V, cuts off the circuit in the event of an overcurrent or short circuit. This protection safeguards the electronic boards and downstream components from more costly damage.

Supplied as a genuine Roland spare part, it is replaced on the board, in its fuse holder, once the cause of the overcurrent has been identified and rectified.

Function

  • To protect the junction board against overcurrent
  • To cut off the power supply to the circuit in the event of a short circuit
  • To protect downstream boards and components
  • Limit overheating of tracks and connectors in the event of a fault

Possible symptoms of wear

  • Machine or winding unit that does not switch on or initialise
  • Function or device powered by the junction board is out of service
  • No output voltage from the junction board
  • Fuse open when tested for continuity

An open fuse usually indicates a fault further down the circuit: investigate the cause (short circuit, faulty component) before replacing it.
