The Cap Head Assy (ref. 1213221 / MP-1213221) is the printhead capping assembly fitted on Mimaki large-format printers with DX4 heads. It seals the head nozzles tightly when the machine is at rest.

It keeps a moist environment around the nozzles to prevent the ink from drying, and takes part in the automatic cleaning cycles by creating the vacuum needed to draw the ink through the nozzles.
