Compatible LH-100 UV ink – Mimaki – SPC-0597

The Mimaki LH-100 compatible ink in a 600 ml pouch (equivalent to SPC-0597) is a ‘hard’ UV ink. It is designed for Mimaki JFX series flatbed UV printers and UJF desktop printers that use the LH-100 range.

Formulated for rigid substrates, the LH-100 ink cures instantly under the machine’s UV-LED lamps. This formulation ensures excellent scratch and chemical resistance, as well as good colour reproduction on PVC, acrylic, aluminium composite, PET, glass or metal.

The original cartridge is cleaned, refilled with compatible LH-100 ink, and then fitted with a chip that enables the machine to recognise the colour and capacity. The 600 ml cartridge fits into the Mimaki OPT-J0237 eco-case.

Function

• Supply ink to the print heads via the machine’s ink circuit
• Print in CMYK four-colour process on rigid, flat substrates
• Apply undercoats and solid white areas to transparent or dark substrates
• Apply a clear varnish to create gloss or embossed effects

Possible symptoms of wear

• Low ink level or empty cartridge warning on the machine’s display
• Chip at end of capacity: cartridge not recognised, printing interrupted
• Ink past its shelf life: polymerisation or reduced adhesion
• White ink not sufficiently stirred: pigment sedimentation, uneven coverage

Replacing the cartridge as soon as the low ink alert appears prevents production stoppages. When switching from an original ink to a compatible ink, do not mix the two in the ink circuit and carry out an adhesion and curing test on the substrate before starting mass production.
