The P7042-A industrial limit switch (Switch Limit Industrial, Omron D4N-112G with adjustable roller lever) is fitted to many EFI VUTEk UV large-format printers (QS2000, UltraVu II 3360, PressVu UV, QS3 Pro, QS3250r, UltraVu 150).

It detects a mechanical position and switches the control circuit. A failing switch leaves the end-of-travel position undetected.

Function

• Detects an end-of-travel position or the presence of a moving element
• The adjustable roller lever actuates the switching mechanism
• Switches the contacts (1 NO + 1 NC) to signal the position to the system
• Secures or synchronises a movement (carriage, cover, axis) depending on the mounting

Signs of wear

• End-of-travel position not detected: movement not stopped or error
• Machine locked in safety or position message
• Contact no longer switching (wear, oxidation) or intermittent
• Lever or roller broken, seized or out of adjustment
