3010108542 – Optical Z-axis sensor (end of travel) – Canon Océ

The 3010108542 optical Z-axis sensor is fitted to Canon Océ Arizona printers.

It detects the limit (top or bottom) position of the carriage/table on the Z axis, sends a signal to the control board to stop or adjust the vertical movement, protects the Z-axis mechanism against end-of-travel collisions and takes part in the Z-axis homing procedure at start-up. A failing sensor exposes the Z axis to collisions.
