The RM-A and RM-S systems can be fitted with a minimum quantity lubrication system that transports lubricant to the cutting edge of the tool as required, effectively reducing friction between the cutter and the material. At the same time, the cutter is cooled with compressed air to further reduce heat build-up. In this way, the MQL system enables economical machining of aluminum. Lubrication considerably reduces the downtime of the milling cutter when milling aluminum composite plates (ACM).
